For optimal comfort, we recommend that you use the tumble dryer after washing.
It is advisable not to use fabric softener in order to maintain the absorbency of the sponge.

Laundry care
For the maintenance of terry bathrobes we advise you to realize a first wash in 60°C to stiffen the loop.
Afterwards, wash at 40° and then wash at drying between 40°C/60°C. For more information see our maintenance guide.

How well does the bamboo terry cloth absorb?
The absorbency of our bamboo terry cloth is 4 times higher than that of cotton. In fact, we use very few chemical solvents during the manufacturing process, which allows us to maintain optimal absorption on our towels. Once out of the shower, the towel dries immediately, without the need to rub your skin.
Does bamboo terry cloth dry faster?
We have worked on an airy, smooth fibre, which allows water to evaporate faster and therefore our Frequently Asked Questions range of products to dry more quickly.
What are the qualities of Comptoir du Bambou bamboo linen?
Our bamboo linen is naturally soft and stays soft with every wash. It is highly absorbent and dries faster. Very durable and easy to care for, it will last for many years. Thermoregulating and breathable, it is very pleasant to use. Our bamboo linen range is more respectful of the environment, the planet & your skin.
Is Comptoir du Bambou linen "Made in France"?
The French textile industry no longer designs linens in France for reasons of cost and technology. What is the difference between bamboo towelling and cotton towelling?
Comptoir du Bambou towels and bathrobes are made from a precious and refined bamboo fibre, one of the noblest fibres in the world. Comptoir du Bambou bath towels are very soft, absorbent, quick drying and anti-bacterial (which prevents bad odours). Our terry towels are also ideal for people with sensitive skin or for newborns.. Indeed, this material takes care of the epidermis, it does not irritate and is therefore suitable for sensitive skin. Furthermore, bamboo bath towels are known for their great resistance, loses less material and does not shrink even after many wash cycles.
Most of the world's bath linen is made from cotton. This is because it is a cheap material that is widely used throughout the world. Cotton bath linen often becomes rough and its absorbent and soft properties quickly disappear. Cotton adds structure and thickness to terry towelling. This is one of the reasons why Comptoir du Bambou uses a certain proportion of cotton in its bath towels.
